The Craft Club

The Craft Club meets twice a month, on the first and third Thursday mornings from 10.00am until midday, in the coffee lounge in the Church Centre.  Our aim is to provide a friendly, relaxed environment where we can share our skills and learn from each other. Everyone is welcome to join us – no special skills are needed. Although the group has only been running for a short time, we have been delighted by the many members who have discovered that, far from having no practical ability, they have been delighted with what they have produced. Our meetings tend to consist of a demonstration of the morning’s project while we have coffee, and then we try it out for ourselves.  Usually it is one of our members who demonstrates, but we have had a visitor who ran a jewellery workshop for us – this proved so popular that we intend to repeat it.
We hope that everyone will try out the morning’s activity but, if it doesn’t appeal, then you are welcome to work on your own project. A number of the members knit for the ‘Teddies for Tragedy’ organisation and we have more group projects on the horizon.
We charge £1 per session which covers coffee and, unless we have an event like the jewellery workshop, covers the cost of materials as well.

For more information please speak to Anne Poulter or Janice Collett.
